Size : 15 cm ( 5 7/8 inches)

Material : Sport Weight Cotton Yarn, color white and some strands of orange, Hook no.3.5(US=E/4); you may want to give a look to my virtual store if you need materials.

Stitches : ch, sc, dc, tr, dtr, picot = 3 ch, sc on first ch

Base

Start with white, 6 ch, join with sl st in first ch

1. 15 dc in lp, join with sl st to first st.

2. 2 dc in ea dc, join with sl st to first st.

3. (dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc)*; Repeat * to * all around, join with sl st to first st.

4. [(dc in next dc) twice, 2 dc in next dc)]*; Repeat * to * all around, join with sl st to first st.

5. [(dc in next dc) 4 times , 2 dc in next dc)]*; Repeat * to * all around, join with sl st to first st.

6. [(dc in next dc) 6 times , 2 dc in next dc)]*; Repeat * to * all around, join with sl st to first st.

7. [(dc in next dc) 8 times , 2 dc in next dc)]*; Repeat * to * all around, join with sl st to first st.

8. Border : (sc on next dc, picot, sk a dc)*; Repeat * to * all around, join with sl st to first st. Do not cut thread. Hole: 15 ch, sl st on joining sc, turn, sl st in ea ch, sl st in joining sc. Cut Thread, weave in ends,

Flower

With Orange, 6 ch, join with sl st in first ch.

1. (dc in lp , 3 ch) 5 times. Join with sl st to first st.

2. [(sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) in next loop] Repeat * to *5 times , join with sl st to first st.

3. (sc around next dc post of first row , 5 ch)*Repeat * to * 5 times, join with sl st to first st.

4. [(sc, hdc, dc, 3 tr, dc, hdc, sc) in next loop] Repeat * to *5 times , join with sl st to first st.

5. (sc around next dc post of first row , 7 ch)*Repeat * to * 5 times, join with sl st to first st.

6. [(sc, hdc, dc, tr, 3 dtr, tr, dc, hdc, sc) in next loop] Repeat * to *5 times , join with sl st to first st. Cut thread

Join flower to front sewing them together with some invisible stitches in initial loops.

N.B.

• Always substitute (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
  • first sc with 1 ch, sc;
  • first hdc with 2 ch;
  • first dc with 3 ch;
  • first tr with 4 ch...and so on;
• When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
• Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
