Material:Pearl cotton # 12, hook 1 mm (US steel 12 #); you can substitute with Cebelia #30 or equivalent ecosse or cordonnet thread (but the gauge can slightly vary); Please visit my Virtual Store if you need materials.

ch, sc, dc, tr

dc shell = dcsh = (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in same sp/st.

tr shell = trsh = (3 tr, 2 ch, 3 tr) in same sp/st.

tr cluster = trcl = (tr not closed on next st) 3 times, close the 3 st together.

dc cluster = dcl = (dc not closed on next st) 3 times, close the 3 st together.

Difficulty: medium.

Directions

Start with 5 ch, join with sl st

1. 14 hdc in lp, join with sl st to first st.

2. *3 dc in next hdc, 2 ch, sk hdc*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

3. *dcl on next 3 dc, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

4. *sc on next dcl, 1 ch (3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc) in next sp, 1 ch*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

5. *dcsh in next sc, 5 ch, sk a sp, sc in next 1-ch sp, 5 ch*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

6. *dcsh in next dcsh, 3 ch, sc in next sp, 5 ch, sc in next sp, 3 ch*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

7. *dcsh in next dcsh, 2 ch, trsh in next 5-ch sp, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

8. *dcsh in next dcsh, 3 ch, trsh in next trsh, 3 ch*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

9. *dcsh in next dcsh, 2 ch, trcluster on next 3 tr, 2 ch, trsh in next trsh sp, 2 ch, trcluster on next 3 tr, 2 ch*; Repeat * to * 7 times, join with sl st to first st

10. sc border : crochet 2 sc in ea 2-ch sp, sc in ea dc, sc in ea tr, sc in ea cluster. Join with sl to first sc. Cut thread.

N.B.

Always substitute (also if not explicitly said) first st in a row as follows:
- first sc with 1 ch, sc;
- first hdc with 2 ch;
- first dc with 3 ch;
- first tr with 4 ch ... and so on
When you read "sl st to <location>", where the location is not immediately contiguous to last st, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching <location>".
Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted prev row on a st (say st1), while you must start next row in another st (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
